In person check-in/out would be so much less stressful and please ... pre-heat in winter. Positive: The comunal parts - kitchen/living room - are great and the rooms are adequately sized with alot of cupboard space. Close to the Parsons Green tube station - a pleasant, village like area of London. Negative: The whole process of onboarding was asphyxiating, with the Stress Free Stays management company being anything but. I was sent multiple emails and called multiple times ie. to add biometric data and pay a deposit, even when I had already done so - they were going through a “system migration”. The whole process of digitalising check-in is here rendered unpleasant and there is no way to be sure that the data you're giving is being properly handled. Idea: if government authorities can’t/won't deal with the issue, maybe it should be Booking that takes on the burden of identity management (PayPal like) rather than allowing for this Wild West. There was a lock on the external patio door for which we had no key and no explanation – drenched by a passing storm we then worked out it was a fake. The house had not been heated - 8pm, 3 kids, 14 degrees celsius. The house has an automation system of sorts and they knew the time of our arrival so there is no excuse (ie. “we’re not a hotel”). Beds: the cheapest most uncomfortable beds you can imagine. A pity as there is relatively little economic difference between the two levels of comfort. Return of deposit: the company imagined I would not be posting a brilliant review and 24hrs after we had vacated the property - clean & proper - I got 4 calls in rapid succession to tell me we had broken a railing on the stairs and they would be taking money from the deposit. I told them I was not aware of anything but would check - accidents happen. In the meantime, they sent me pictures of the railing – broken but also evidently affected by dry rot. No debris. My wife told me that when we entered she had noticed the breakage but apart from protecting the open screw, thought nothing further of it - other priorites like getting everyone dry/warm. Informed, the company accused us of lying. There are multiple other explanations but no, we were the liars.
